Floating vs. fixed rate

Which rate type to choose and what each one guarantees.

Floating rate

The final amount is calculated when your deposit is confirmed. If the market moves while your transaction is confirming, the amount you receive can be higher or lower than the estimate. Floating rate is usually slightly better in calm markets.

Fixed rate

The amount you receive is locked when you create the order. The lock is valid only while the countdown on your order page is running, and only if you send exactly the quoted amount on the quoted network. If the deposit arrives late or the amount differs, the order may be processed at the current market rate or refunded.

The fixed rate is the only rate we guarantee. We do not guarantee that any rate is the best on the market.
