Ethereum Swap (ETH)
Ethereum is a programmable blockchain that runs smart contracts. Its native coin, ETH, pays for transaction fees, known as gas, and secures the network through proof-of-stake. Many tokens, stablecoins and decentralized applications are built on Ethereum, and a group of layer-2 networks extends it with lower fees. ETH is therefore needed by anyone who wants to use applications or move tokens on these networks.
People exchange ETH to fund a wallet for gas, to move between Ethereum and other ecosystems, or to convert tokens into a widely held base asset. With BreezeSwap you send ETH to a one-time deposit address for your order and receive the other coin directly in your own wallet. No account or sign-up is required. Most exchanges take 5–30 minutes from the moment your deposit is sent.

Tips for sending and receiving ETH
- Ethereum addresses start with 0x and are 42 characters long. The same address format is used on layer-2 networks, so always check which network the order expects.
- Sending ETH requires a small amount of ETH for gas on top of the amount you transfer. Receiving ETH does not require gas.
- Only send native ETH to an ETH deposit address. Do not send tokens or wrapped ETH unless the order was created for that exact asset and network.
- Deposits sent from some smart-contract wallets can take longer to detect. A standard wallet transfer is usually the simplest option.

Ethereum exchange FAQ
Only if the order was created for that network. ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism or Base uses the same 0x address format as Ethereum mainnet, but a deposit on the wrong network may lead to loss or require manual recovery.
Every transaction on Ethereum pays gas in ETH, including token transfers. Keep a small ETH balance in the wallet you send from.
Most exchanges take 5–30 minutes. Timing depends on network confirmations and on how busy the network is when you send.
